Ramadan Food Drive — Elwak Sub-County 8–11 March 2024
Across four purposeful days in Ramadan 2024, the Ali Roba Foundation (ARF) coordinated a large-scale food distribution in Elwak Sub-County to ensure the most vulnerable families observed the holy month with dignity. Working closely with local administrators, elders, faith leaders, and youth volunteers, the Foundation set up orderly collection points each morning. Beneficiary lists were verified, special assistance was provided for the elderly and caregivers, and the entire operation moved with a calm efficiency that reflected weeks of planning and community trust.

By the close of the exercise, 600 households had received comprehensive Ramadan support. Each family took home a 56 kg food pack carefully curated for nutrition and local taste, maize meal, wheat flour, dates, cooking oil, rice, and beans. These staples do more than fill a pantry; they make it possible for families to prepare wholesome suhoor and iftar meals, share with neighbors, and focus on prayer without the burden of food insecurity.

The logistics behind the scenes were just as important as the distribution itself. ARF teams oversaw procurement, packaging, transport, and last-mile delivery, while volunteers managed crowd flow and documented the process for accountability. The meticulous setup, neat rows of family packs, clear signage, and shaded waiting areas helped keep queues short and interactions respectful. Smiles, whispered prayers, and grateful handshakes said what words could not: support arrived on time, in the right form, and with dignity intact.
This initiative underscores a core ARF conviction: compassion must be organized to be effective. By aligning donor goodwill with precise beneficiary mapping and disciplined execution, the Foundation converted generosity into measurable impact, full plates at home, reduced household stress, and renewed optimism during a sacred season.
ARF extends heartfelt thanks to every donor, partner, and volunteer who made these four days possible. Your contributions turned relief into community and ensured that hope, like the meals shared ,was abundant.
